This page explains what data we collect when you use HalalBe, and why and how we use it. This is our first version and will be updated as the platform grows.

Data we collect

• Account information: first and last name, email, phone, account type (member/business).
• Content: the reviews and ratings you write, your favorite venues, and any incorrect-information reports you submit.
• For business owners: the venue information, photos and location data you add.

How we use your data

Your data is only used to manage your account, display your reviews and favorites, list your business, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising purposes.

Visibility of your data

Your display name and the reviews you write are public. Your phone number and email address are never shown publicly; they are only visible to you and our authorized staff.

Infrastructure

Your data is hosted on Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Technical safeguards (access control, encrypted connections) are applied with this provider to keep your data secure.

Your rights

If you'd like to update the information on your account, or delete your account and your data, you can reach us at info@halalbe.com.
